Luminescence Exhibition
By sourcing previously loved and used items from a generation past, now discarded and of little worth, Yan up-cycles her medium of antique cut glass to create modern sculptures of illuminating beauty. Repurposing the old and discarded. These glass flowers glow in dark; they evoke a sense of nostalgia, a reminder of things we used to love, celebrating the life of something beautiful and our desire for everlasting beauty.
These glass objects illuminated with LEDs and rechargeable batteries, it activated with movement. The LED lit though geometric pattern on the plate creates a beautiful ray on the wall.
